Field Service Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support within a manufacturing plant environment.
• Serve as a liaison between controls/OT teams and IT networking teams to support machine builds and network integration.
• Troubleshoot and route issues to the appropriate teams after quickly assessing root causes.
• Support new hire setups, machine builds, and day-to-day user needs.
• Manage and resolve ServiceNow tickets.
• Provide desktop and end-user support, with hardware repairs handled by a third-party vendor.
• Troubleshoot network-related issues including print servers, scanners, and segmented networks.

Technical Environment

• Operational Technology (OT) systems including PLCs and manufacturing equipment connected to the enterprise network.
• Approximately 350 users and 300-500 endpoints across four locations (two supported remotely).
• Zebra scanners managed via MDM.
• Strong networking exposure with an estimated 70/30 split between networking and desktop support.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of networking concepts (no hands-on configuration required), including:
  • VLANs and LAN segmentation
  • IP addressing
  • DHCP, DNS
  • Firewall rules

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Princeton, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
