RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Oracle DBA in Jacksonville, FL.

Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) migration project. This resource will play a critical role in completing the migration of enterprise Oracle databases from on-premises platforms to OCI Exadata with Oracle RAC, while ensuring system stability, performance optimization, security compliance, and operational readiness.

The project includes the migration of multiple business-critical Oracle environments supporting financial, operational, and transportation systems. As migration activities accelerate, additional DBA capacity is required to execute database migrations, perform performance tuning, validate high availability configurations, support testing cycles, and provide post-migration stabilization. The project timeline and technical complexity require a dedicated senior-level Oracle resource to augment the existing team and reduce delivery risk.

REQUIREMENTS:
Required Technical Skills:
Oracle Database Administration:
* Oracle Database 19c and newer
* Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
* Database installation, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management
* RMAN backup and recovery
* Data Guard Administration
* Oracle GoldenGate experience preferred

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI):
* OCI architecture and administration
* OCI Exadata Database Service
* OCI networking concepts (VCNs, subnets, security lists, routing)
* OCI storage and backup services
* Identity and Access Management (IAM)

Performance and Operational Excellence:
* Oracle SQL and PL/SQL tuning
* Query optimization and execution plan analysis
* Capacity planning and growth forecasting
* Performance diagnostics and troubleshooting
* Production support for large-scale enterprise databases

Desired Experience:
* 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience in large enterprise environments
* 3+ years of OCI administration and migration experience
* Experience migrating mission-critical Oracle workloads to OCI
* Experience supporting Oracle E-Business Suite, financial, or other large transactional systems
* Experience working in highly regulated environments with strong change management and audit requirements
* Ability to coordinate with technical and business stakeholders across multiple teams

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
