Data Center Cabling Technician (Low-Voltage)Location: Data Center Sites (various)

OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Data Center Cabling Technician to support the installation and decommissioning of low-voltage network infrastructure. This role requires hands-on cabling experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently from technical documentation in live data center environments.
Key Responsibilities- Install and remove copper, fiber, and coax cabling in data center environments
- Pull ISP/OSP cabling through conduits, ceilings, and pathways
- Perform copper and fiber terminations, labeling, and continuity testing
- Install ladder racks, cable tray, fiber troughs, seismic bracing, threaded rod, and Uni-strut
- Read and work from blueprints, floor plans, port maps, and redlines
- Install and patch network equipment and cable enclosures
- Maintain high standards for workmanship, safety, quality, and cleanliness
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders and provide project updates
Required Skills & Qualifications- Experience with low-voltage cabling (copper and fiber)
- Proficiency with telecom hand tools and testing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring standards
- Knowledge of labeling, bonding/grounding, and firestopping basics
- Understanding of data center infrastructure and safety practices
- Strong attention to detail and customer-service mindset
Nice to Have- Experience with SM, MM, and ribbon fiber
- Familiarity with FIM systems and barcode scanning
- Coax (Series 6 & 11) installation and testing experience
Physical Requirements- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and working on raised platforms
- Ability to pull cable for extended periods
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Hillsboro, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
