AV Installation Technician (2 Day Project)

TEKsystems is seeking AV Installation Technicians for a short-term, two-day project in Madison, WI. This is an onsite assignment taking place on July 20th and 21st supporting the installation and upgrade of audiovisual systems across multiple conference and presentation rooms.
This role is ideal for technicians with experience in low-voltage cabling, AV installations, structured cabling, or technology deployments who are comfortable working from floor plans and installation documentation.
Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site support for AV room installations and upgrades
• Pull and route UTP and coax cabling according to project specifications
• Terminate UTP and coax cabling
• Install Crestron NVX units at designated monitors and projectors
• Disconnect existing rack equipment and reconnect devices to new rack installations
• Follow AV design documentation, floor plans, and installation standards
• Coordinate activities with on-site project contacts
• Complete assigned installation tasks efficiently and accurately

Project Scope:

• Pull cables (UTP and coax) to cameras, projects, and to racks
• Terminate all UTP cabling
• Terminate coax cables
• Install Crestron NVX units
• Swap racks, including disconnecting and reconnecting existing connections

Qualifications:

• Experience with AV installations, structured cabling, or low-voltage projects
• Ability to terminate UTP and coax cables
• Familiarity with AV hardware, racks, and equipment installations
• Ability to read and work from floor plans, diagrams, and installation documentation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment

This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
