Job Description:

Pay Range: $91.82hr - $96.82hr

The Systems Engineer III will design, develop, deploy, and operate production-grade AI and machine learning systems and data pipelines in an agile environment.
This role focuses on deploying predictive models into production with strong emphasis on reliability, scalability, and observability.
The engineer will collaborate closely with data scientists, computational biologists, and researchers to translate scientific needs into robust digital solutions while maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, deploy, and operate production-grade AI and machine learning systems and data pipelines.
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for automated testing and deployment.
Deploy and operate applications on Kubernetes using GitOps practices.
Develop user-facing applications through APIs and graphical interfaces.
Deploy predictive models into production environments with focus on reliability, scalability, and observability.
Build and optimize compute pipelines supporting data processing and model training.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate scientific requirements into digital solutions.
Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain high standards for code quality, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirement/Must Have:

Strong experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes-based container orchestration.
Experience with GitOps practices such as ArgoCD or equivalent tools.
Strong Python programming skills.
Experience in API and web application development.
Experience deploying machine learning models into production environments.
Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience working in agile environments with a customer-focused mindset.
Proven experience deploying and operating applications in production.

Experience:

Professional experience in software engineering.
Demonstrated delivery of production-level systems with measurable impact.

Should Have:

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences environments.
Awareness of drug discovery, vaccine development, or experimental sciences.
Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Metaflow.
Experience mentoring or providing technical training.
Contributions to open-source or technical communities.
Experience designing scalable data engineering solutions.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Advanced degree preferred but not required.

Work Environment:

Hybrid working model with a minimum of three days per week on site.
Agile and fast-paced team environment focused on rapid iteration and delivery.
Strong cross-functional collaboration across research, digital, and manufacturing teams.
