OverviewWe are seeking a Systems Integration & Test Engineer to support the planning, execution, and analysis of integration, verification, and validation activities for complex systems. This role requires strong analytical abilities, hands-on integration experience, and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering groups. The position includes both local and occasional non-local travel in support of integration and test events.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in integration and test planning, execution, and verification/validation events
- Perform system performance assessments and validation testing to confirm compliance with system requirements
- Execute integration and testing activities aligned to defined milestones and schedules
- Integrate and test system software builds to support ongoing verification and test cycles
- Collaborate with cross-program leads and stakeholders to:
- Develop test approaches
- Confirm test setup readiness
- Support reviews (peer, gate, test readiness)
- Ensure test activities comply with established engineering processes and relevant technical release/export policies
- Conduct troubleshooting and resolution of technical observations during integration
- Support activities related to hardware- and software-based testing, including hands-on diagnostic work
- Travel up to 10%, supporting domestic test events and foreign military sales activities
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum 6+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with one or more programming environments, such as:
- MATLAB
- Python
- Perl
- C/C++
- Linux / Unix scripting
- Experience in systems engineering, integration, networking, verification, validation, or testing
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging software-based systems
- Experience with Linux (e.g., Red Hat) or Unix-based systems
Desired Qualifications- Experience with:
- Test equipment and installations
- Integration/regression testing
- Test plan, test script, and test procedure development
- Configuration control documentation
- Reading/interpreting test setup schematics
- Networking or cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Security+
- Hands-on experience integrating and configuring electronics, network routers, or software installations
- Experience working with:
- MATLAB
- Linux (Red Hat)
- Unix
- Python/Perl/Shell scripting
- Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies, including:
- Sprint reviews
- Daily standups
- PI planning
- Retrospectives
- Use of JIRA / Confluence
- Strong integration skills and understanding of:
- System algorithms
- Signal processing concepts
- System performance analysis
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in collaborative team environments
