Job Title: Senior Consultant / M-Consulting
Client location hybrid Onsite - Charlotte, NC or Dallas, TX
Hire Type 12+ months contract
Requirement:
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in handling various payment rails, including Wire, Swift ACH, RTP, FedNow, and Zelle. This role requires a deep understanding of payment regulations, middle and back-office functions, fraud prevention, ISO standards (ISO20022), and payment modernization practices. The candidate will possess extensive experience in payment messaging, payment processing, validation, and reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of payment APIs and the ability to map messages effectively. Additionally, experience in mergers will be considered a valuable asset.
Key Responsibilities
Payment Messaging: Thorough understanding of payment messaging with precision and ensure all communications are clear, accurate, and timely.
Payment Processing: Understand end-to-end payment processing cycle, ensuring all transactions are executed efficiently and securely.
Validation and Reporting: Conduct thorough validation of payment transactions and generate comprehensive reports to track payment activities.
API Integration: Thorough understanding of payment APIs to streamline processes and enhance payment solutions. Ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Message Mapping: Experience Mapping messages accurately to facilitate smooth communication between different payment systems.
Merger Experience: Leverage experience with mergers to contribute valuable insights and support seamless integrations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in payment messaging, processing, validation, and reporting.
Strong knowledge of payment APIs and message mapping techniques.
Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a significant advantage.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with industry-standard payment platforms and protocols.
Proficiency in using financial software and tools for payment processing and reporting.
Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the payment industry.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
