Summary

CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Mechanical Engineer II, to support manufacturing equipment reliability, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and equipment upgrade projects. This role will partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, vendors, and project teams to improve equipment uptime, performance, and maintainability while ensuring safe and quality execution.

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Hemlock, MI
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

ITAR facility: Candidates must comply with applicable DOD/ITAR requirements and be U.S. citizens or U.S. nationals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and industrial equipment issues and support root cause analysis.
  • Drive equipment reliability, performance, and maintainability improvements.
  • Lead or support equipment upgrades, modifications, replacements, and ramp projects.
  • Serve as a technical resource for assigned equipment systems.
  • Partner with operations and maintenance to improve equipment uptime and issue resolution.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects and equipment work meet safety, quality, and operational requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or process equipment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with equipment reliability, maintenance, upgrades, or continuous improvement.
  • Strong technical analysis and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
