Intern Program Overview

We are committed to building a strong talent pipeline by investing in early career professionals. Our internship and co-op programs provide mentorship, training, hands-on experience, and growth opportunities that empower students to explore their career paths with confidence. Summer interns work full-time (40 hours per week) from May through August. Candidates must be currently enrolled college students actively pursuing a degree to participate in the internship program.

Job Purpose

As a Systems Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience defining requirements, testing software, and supporting system integration projects across multiple engineering disciplines. You will also have the opportunity to lead an entry-level project, applying system engineering principles to real-world equipment development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Your responsibilities may include:
    • Assisting in the creation of requirements for software development
    • Performing testing and on-board validation of software packages on equipment
    • Leading an entry-level project to implement a new feature onto CNH equipment
    • Defining system-level features and decomposing them into subsystem definitions and requirements
    • Collaborating across engineering disciplines to coordinate system definition, design, and integration
    • Working with software development teams on implementation and integration of software into vehicles
    • Supporting root cause analysis on issues involving controller software, hardware I/O, wire harnessing, and mechanical subsystems
    • Conducting design analysis on components, vehicle systems, and software architectures to ensure requirements can be met
    • Participating in design reviews, safety analysis, DFMEAs, hazard and risk assessments
    • Assisting with the development of automated testing tools and technical documentation

Experience Required

Candidates must be pursuing (at minimum) a Bachelor's degree in the following majors or a related field: Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Agriculture Engineering. Software Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

Proven curiosity and passion for engineering demonstrated through academic achievement, extracurricular activities, personal projects, technical competitions, research, or prior internship experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and contribute in a collaborative engineering environment.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD $19.57 - $35.02 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
