We are looking for Scientist III for our client in Swiftwater, PA
Job Title: Scientist III
Job Location: Swiftwater, PA
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview:
Pay Range: $77.82hr - $82.82hr
  • Execute development studies including resin reuse, process optimization, scale-up, column loading, and yield improvement strategies.
  • Perform purification experiments such as chromatography, filtration, clarification, column packing, and tangential flow filtration.
  • Design, execute, and interpret experiments using technical expertise in protein purification and analysis.
  • Analyze data, make detailed observations, and interpret experimental results.
  • Prepare technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
  • Follow documented procedures and maintain compliance with departmental standards.
  • Perform general laboratory maintenance and upkeep.
  • Support troubleshooting activities and assist team members as needed.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for downstream process development initiatives.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and solutions effectively with stakeholders.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of protein purification and chromatography techniques.
  • Experience in designing and executing scientific experiments.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret scientific data.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Experience:

  • 2 6 years of relevant experience in scientific research or process development.
  • Experience with chromatography systems and purification techniques.
  • Experience in data analysis and technical documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory experiments and process development studies.
  • Analyze results and prepare reports.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with procedures.
  • Support team members and contribute to project success.

Should Have:

  • Experience operating and troubleshooting chromatography systems.
  • Knowledge of analytical assays such as SDS-PAGE, Western Blot, ELISA, and related techniques.
  • Familiarity with high-throughput process development equipment.
  • Understanding of quality systems including deviations, CAPA, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience with documentation practices and SOP writing.
  • Exposure to molecular modeling software is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Qualification And Education:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
