RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing and well-established engineering technology company in the Phoenix area, is seeking a Data Analyst to join its team for a hybrid/onsite role. We are partnering directly with the hiring manager on this exclusive search. Summary:
In this role, you will own the entire data lifecycle, from backend data engineering and analysis to frontend visualization and business enablement. You will serve as a bridge between technical data solutions and strategic business insights, solving complex problems end to end.
You will work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, integrate data across systems, build scalable data models, and deliver actionable insights across multiple business functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Engineering:
* Connect to and integrate diverse data sources (APIs, databases)
* Design and maintain databases and data models
* Build, automate, and optimize ETL pipelines
* Perform data cleansing, validation, and quality remediation
Data Analysis & Data Science:
* Write complex SQL queries for analysis and reporting
* Perform statistical analysis and exploratory data analysis
* Develop predictive models and apply machine learning where appropriate
* Identify insights beyond standard reporting
Frontend & Visualization:
* Design and build dashboards and reports (Power BI preferred)
* Integrate data into user friendly applications and APIs
* Enable self service analytics for business users
Business Partnership:
* Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable business insights
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions
* Support data driven decision making across the organization
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics or a related field
* 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
* Strong experience building dashboards and reports in Power BI (Tableau a plus).
* Strong experience with both backend data engineering (ETL, Databases) and analysis (SQL) to frontend visualization (dashboard, UI's)
* Proven ability to gather requirements, test solutions, and work with stakeholders
* Strong analytical skills with experience translating data into business conclusions
* Experience creating process and technical documentation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* SQL Server or Oracle experience
* Strong knowledge of CTEs, window functions, set operations, aggregations, and REGEXP or similar
* Ability to read execution plans and optimize query performance
* Data profiling and data quality remediation
* Understanding of master data management concepts
* Familiarity with data lineage and documentation best practices
* Snowflake experience preferred (Streams, Tasks, Dynamic Tables, or similar)
* Python 3.8+ (REST APIs, OAuth2, API keys, JWT authentication)
* JavaScript is a plus but not required (React or Angular)
* SuiteScript 2.x is a plus but not required
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
