Senior Data Architect

Job Title: Senior Data Architect

Location: Remote/WFH 

Duration: 3 months+ contract

Experience with Snowflake development, strong SQL expertise, and effective communication and client interfacing skills as well as ETL experience, would be highly preferred

Description:

• Design, develop, and govern large scale enterprise data architectures, including data models, standards, policies, and frameworks that define how data is collected, stored, integrated, and consumed.
• Architect, build, and manage end to end data platforms across on premise and cloud environments, supporting structured and unstructured data, distributed systems, and modern data infrastructure.
• Lead and guide teams in resolving complex and escalated data architecture challenges, applying advanced technical expertise and innovative solution design.
• Partner with multidisciplinary teams and business stakeholders to define data and analytics solutions that deliver measurable business value, including solutions where no existing patterns or technologies are available.
• Ensure architectural compliance and solution quality by reviewing designs, conducting due diligence, monitoring project progress, managing risk, and contributing to enterprise data management standards.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise scale data architecture strategies across multiple large and complex initiatives.
• Deep, hands on expertise with modern data technologies, platforms, and architectural patterns, including cloud based and distributed data systems.
• Proven ability to research, evaluate, and apply emerging technologies, developing new solutions and ways of working where required.
• Strong foundation in data management principles, with demonstrated success applying architectural standards, governance, and optimization practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; relevant certifications such as AWS Cloud Certification, TOGAF, CISSP, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
