Workato Integration Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workato Integration Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable integrations across enterprise SaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Workato, API integrations, and modern integration patterns in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations using Workato recipes and custom connectors
• Build and manage API integrations (REST/SOAP) across multiple systems
• Implement secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth2.0, JWT, API Keys)
• Develop and maintain data transformation logic using JSON, XML, and JavaScript
• Integrate with SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, ServiceNow, and Snowflake
• Implement real-time and event-driven integrations using webhooks and messaging patterns
• Handle error logging, monitoring, and retry mechanisms for integrations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
• Support CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and environment migrations
• Build and manage Workato MCP and Genie components

Required Qualifications

• 5–9+ years of experience in integration development or middleware engineering
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workato
• Strong understanding of API design (REST/SOAP) and integration architecture
• Experience with authentication protocols (OAuth2.0, JWT, API Keys)
• Proficiency in JSON, XML, and JavaScript
• Experience with enterprise SaaS integrations (Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, ServiceNow, etc.)
• Solid understanding of integration patterns (request/response, pub-sub, event-driven)
• Experience with webhooks and real-time data processing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Snowflake or modern data platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
• Experience working in cloud-based environments
• Exposure to Workato MCP and Genie (highly preferred)

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
