Exciting opportunity for Sr. Network System Engineer
Title: Sr. Network System Engineer
Location: Middletown, NJ (Onsite)
Role Overview
Design and analyze telecom/network systems across Layers 2-4, while defining technical requirements and ensuring alignment with TMF standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design network solutions (L2: VLAN/STP, L3: OSPF/BGP/MPLS, L4: TCP/UDP)
- Gather and document system requirements
- Ensure compliance with TMF frameworks (Open APIs, SID, eTOM)
- Work with teams to translate business needs into technical specs
- Perform gap analysis and impact assessment
- Create documentation (design docs, ICDs, traceability)
- Support testing and validation
Requirements
- Bachelor s/Master s in relevant field
- 5+ years in network/systems engineering
Skills Needed
- Strong networking (L2-L4)
- Requirements writing & documentation
- Knowledge of TMF frameworks
- Tools: DOORS, Jira, Wireshark, etc.
- Good communication & analytical skills
Ideal Candidate
Someone with network design expertise + systems/requirements experience, preferably in telecom domain.
