Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge cloud-native infrastructure and IoT Edge services. This role involves working with modern technologies to design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices-based solutions across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), Kubernetes, edge computing, and infrastructure automation. This is a highly collaborative role that requires strong leadership, mentoring abilities, and a product-driven mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and develop platform features and technical specifications to enable self-service infrastructure for Toyota's manufacturing sites and parts distribution centers.
  • Build and deploy IoT Edge services on Private Cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and modern streaming platforms.
  • Architect hybrid cloud solutions and seamless integrations with public cloud services.
  • Design and implement low-memory/CPU/GPU Kubernetes workloads and cloud-native application blueprints.
  • Pilot emerging cloud features and run experiments to validate technology fit and performance.
  • Lead architecture discussions and participate in code and design reviews to ensure best practices, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Drive transformation efforts by converting monolithic applications into microservices using GraphQL/REST APIs and 12-factor app principles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quarterly and annual cloud migration goals.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers; foster a culture of learning, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to internal technical content including white papers, blog posts, practical guides, and platform demos.
