About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Expert to support a major Utilities organization through a large-scale S/4HANA transformation. In this role, you will serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Supply Chain function, ensuring operational needs are clearly represented and seamlessly integrated into the new S/4HANA environment.
You will act as the critical bridge between Supply Chain business stakeholders and the central SAP project team — translating operational requirements into technical delivery within a multi-service utility landscape.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the go-to S/4HANA functional expert and trusted advisor for the Supply Chain organization.
  • Partner with the SAP project team to ensure business processes and requirements are accurately reflected in system design, configuration, and implementation.
  • Provide deep SME-level guidance on Supply Chain processes within the S/4HANA framework.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement across business, IT, leadership, and external partners.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to maximize the value of the S/4HANA implementation.
  • Help refine roles, responsibilities, and governance structures throughout the transformation lifecycle.
  • Track and report on key milestones, deliverables, and performance indicators.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience with a strong focus on Supply Chain modules (implementations, optimizations, or support).
  • Proven experience in the Utilities sector, preferably in multi-service environments (electric & gas).
  • Demonstrated success supporting large-scale ERP transformations from a business operations perspective.
  • Deep functional knowledge of S/4HANA Supply Chain capabilities, including:
    -Procurement
    -Inventory Management
    -Logistics
    -Related integration points
  • Strong grasp of S/4HANA architecture, SAP best practices, and migration considerations.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear system requirements and actionable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP S/4HANA certification strongly preferred.
  • Additional certifications (PMP, Agile, Six Sigma, etc.) are a plus.
  • Experience with multiple S/4HANA implementations in utility or asset-intensive industries.
  • Prior consulting or advisory background supporting business transformations.
  • Proven success working in complex, cross-functional environments.
