Summary

Network and Systems Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6-12 Months Contract

Description:

Deploy and maintain Linux, Windows OS, and VMWare systems across a mixture of VM hosts and standalone servers
Test, deploy and maintain ruggedized network switches, routers, servers, diagnostic systems, and cellular modems as part of an extensive field Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) encompassing fiber rings, and DSL and private LTE equipment
Maintain strong relationships with consultants and equipment vendors to build technical expertise to support existing traffic control systems and applications and maintain effective support structure and response times
Provide limited on-call support, including weekends, when required, such as for major network migration and traffic related events
Test and deploy new ITS technologies, such as AI driven IP cameras, Lidar systems, and Cloud based ITS applications
Assist team members in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the ITS field communications network to ensure high reliability, secured operations, and availability of network resources
