Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer to support the migration of complex data integration assets from Informatica PowerCenter to Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter, IDMC, CDI-PC, data warehouse design and development, SQL, relational databases, ETL, testing, and performance tuning. The candidate will work closely with technical teams and business users to understand requirements, develop high-quality solutions, and support data warehouse initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Migrate mappings, mapplets, sessions, workflows, and other complex assets from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC.
• Perform migration testing, validation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Design, develop, test, maintain, and implement ETL/data integration solutions.
• Develop ETL mapping specifications for loading information into the data warehouse.
• Ensure reliability, accuracy, security, and quality of data loaded into the data warehouse.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
• Participate in data warehouse design and development initiatives.
• Develop and maintain relational and dimensional data models.
• Apply data warehouse best practices, including Kimball data warehouse design principles.
• Work with Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD) and other dimensional modeling concepts.
• Perform data analysis and develop SQL queries against relational databases.
• Support data warehouse performance tuning and optimization.
• Develop design specifications, technical documentation, and other SDLC deliverables.
• Develop test plans, test cases, test procedures, and use cases.
• Identify, troubleshoot, document, and resolve defects.
• Support quality assurance processes and procedures.
• Participate throughout the complete Software/System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
• Gather and document requirements from business users and customers.
• Work collaboratively with IT technical teams, business users, and other stakeholders.
• Respond to customer requests and provide technical support verbally and in writing.
• Research and resolve technical questions and problems independently while keeping leadership informed.
• Initiate and follow through on complex short- and long-term projects.
• Navigate a large organizational environment effectively to accomplish project objectives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data integration and data warehouse processes.
• Support mainframe applications and integrations involving technologies such as COBOL and DB2, as needed.
• Prepare reports and perform database queries using technologies such as Oracle.
• Utilize Microsoft Office, MS Visio, and MS Outlook for documentation, communication, and project activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Data Warehouse design and development.
• 4+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
• 2+ years hands-on experience migrating Informatica PowerCenter assets to IDMC.
• 2+ years of experience with IDMC (Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud).
• 2+ years of experience with CDI-PC.
• 4+ years of data analysis experience.
• 4+ years of Data Warehouse requirements gathering experience.
• 4+ years of Data Warehouse performance tuning and optimization.
• 3+ years of experience developing design specifications.
• 3+ years of technical writing and documentation experience.
• 3+ years of experience working with relational databases and strong SQL skills.
• Experience with Oracle, DB2, and/or SQL Server.
• 2+ years of experience with Kimball data warehouse design principles.
• 2+ years of experience implementing complex data warehouse models and processes.
• Experience developing test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Experience identifying and resolving defects.
• Experience developing and implementing QA processes, procedures, and test/use cases.
• Strong understanding of SDLC deliverables and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
