Director of IT Infrastructure & Security - On-site

The Director of IT Infrastructure & Security provides strategic and operational leadership for AdvancedHEALTH\'s IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, network services, and end-user technology environment. This role ensures the security, reliability, scalability, and availability of technology systems that support a geographically distributed healthcare organization and its mission-critical EMR platform. The Director oversees infrastructure operations, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and technology governance while partnering with executive leadership, application teams, and external vendors to drive operational excellence and business continuity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Infrastructure & Operations
  • Lead and manage enterprise infrastructure, including data centers, servers, Microsoft Hyper-V, storage, networks, telecommunications, and endpoint services.
  • Ensure the performance, availability, security, and reliability of systems supporting critical clinical and business applications.
  • Oversee network and security infrastructure, including FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, connectivity, and multi-site operations.
  • Manage Active Directory, identity and access management, Group Policy, and on-premises Microsoft Exchange.
  • Direct endpoint management, patching, monitoring, hardware lifecycle management, and IT service desk operations.

Cybersecurity & Business Continuity
  • Lead cybersecurity programs, including endpoint and network security, vulnerability management, security monitoring, MFA, and privileged access controls.
  • Coordinate incident response activities with internal teams and external security partners.
  • Oversee backup, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and recovery testing.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA security requirements and applicable regulatory standards.

IT Leadership & Governance
  • Lead, develop, and mentor infrastructure, network, systems, and support teams.
  • Establish and maintain IT policies, standards, documentation, change management processes, and operational best practices.
  • Manage major technology incidents, root-cause analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee technology vendors, contracts, licensing, budgets, and long-term infrastructure planning.
  • Communicate technology performance, cybersecurity risks, and strategic initiatives to executive leadership.

EHR & Application Support
  • Partner with EHR and application leaders to ensure infrastructure effectively supports clinical and business systems.
  • Maintain responsibility for the infrastructure, security, connectivity, storage, and availability supporting the enterprise EMR.
  • Coordinate infrastructure changes and maintenance activities to minimize operational disruption.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\'s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Healthcare IT experience preferred.
  • Strong experience with on-premises data centers, Microsoft Hyper-V, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and on-premises Exchange.
  • Expertise in enterprise networking, FortiGate firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and multi-site infrastructure.
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, enterprise storage, backup and recovery, endpoint management, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA security requirements and regulatory compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage budgets and vendors, oversee complex technology initiatives, and communicate effectively with executive leadership.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Full-time, primarily office-based position. Occasional travel and after-hours availability may be required to support critical incidents, maintenance activities, and technology implementations.
