Job Summary:

Arch Systems is seeking an experienced Azure Solution Architect with strong expertise in designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud solutions for U.S. Federal clients. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, cloud migration strategies, security and compliance frameworks, and enterprise-level architecture design within federal environments.

The candidate will work closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and federal clients to architect scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions aligned with mission-critical objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and architect enterprise-grade cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Lead cloud transformation and migration initiatives from on-premises to Azure environments.
• Develop secure and scalable architectures aligned with Federal compliance standards including FedRAMP, NIST, and Zero Trust principles.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, DevOps, and application teams for end-to-end solution delivery.
• Create architecture diagrams, technical documentation, solution blueprints, and deployment strategies.
• Implement Azure networking, identity management, governance, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Support modernization initiatives involving hybrid cloud and multi-cloud environments.
• Provide technical leadership during proposal development, solution discussions, and client presentations.
• Optimize cloud cost management, performance, availability, and scalability.
• Mentor technical teams and establish Azure best practices and governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience working as an Azure Solution Architect.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Microsoft Azure Services
  • Azure Virtual Machines
  • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Azure DevOps
  • Azure Networking & Security
  • Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
  • ARM Templates / Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
  • Azure Monitor & Log Analytics
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery Solutions
• Experience with cloud security frameworks and compliance standards such as:
  • FedRAMP
  • NIST 800-53
  • FISMA
  • Zero Trust Architecture
• Experience designing solutions for Federal/Government clients.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and containerization.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead technical discussions with clients and internal teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Experience supporting CMS, DHS, DoD, VA, or other Federal agencies.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML, data platforms, or enterprise integration solutions in Azure.
• Active Public Trust or Security Clearance is highly preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
