Senior Project Engineer - Radar Systems

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Project Engineer - Radar Systems in Phoenix, AZ.

Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the development of advanced phased array, ESA, and AESA radar systems for government and defense applications. This role will drive programs from concept through production while coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and serving as a key technical leader. We are working directly with the hiring manager on this search assignment. This position is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:
* Lead phased array radar product development, integration, verification, qualification, and production transition
* Coordinate cross-functional teams including Systems, RF, Antenna, FPGA, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering
* Manage technical planning, risk mitigation, schedule execution, and issue resolution
* Lead requirements development, design reviews, architecture trades, and technical decision-making
* Support system integration, testing, validation, and customer demonstrations
* Drive manufacturing readiness and production release activities
* Communicate technical status and key program milestones to leadership and stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field
* 7+ years of experience in phased array, radar, RF, aerospace, defense, LiDAR, or related technologies
* Experience with electronically steered antenna (ESA) or phased array systems
* Strong understanding of RF systems, antenna technologies, beamforming, and systems engineering processes
* Proven technical leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Preferred Qualifications:
* AESA experience
* Experience transitioning products from development into production
* Radar, LiDAR, or advanced RF sensing background
* Knowledge of phased array calibration, beamforming, and RF characterization
* Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
