Summary

Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain IBM DataCap environments across non-
production and production systems.
Administer DataCap components (Taskmaster, Rulerunner, and Web Services),
including service tuning and health monitoring.
Deploy DataCap Admin, Engine, and Fingerprint components using DataCap
tools and scripting integrated with Git-based pipelines.
Maintain DataCap application workflows, fingerprints, and ruleset libraries across
multiple applications.
Deploy and manage custom DataCap modules built with the DataCap
Developer s Kit (DDK), incorporating them into the build pipeline.
Administer IBM Content Navigator (ICN) and IBM FileNet integration, including
plug-in deployment, desktop configuration, and repository connectivity.
Troubleshoot complex DataCap issues (e.g., workflow failures, OCR accuracy
degradation, DLL conflicts, WTM/Taskmaster crashes).
Manage DataCap user accounts, role-based permissions, and stations across
environments.
Perform performance analysis and tuning for DataCap batch processing (e.g.,
concurrent job management, throughput optimization).
Coordinate IBM Support engagements, manage PMRs/cases, and maintain
vendor patch currency.
Git Repository & DevOps Pipeline Management
Maintain and govern Git repositories for DataCap application configurations,
scripts, and deployment artifacts.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and validation of
DataCap and ICN components.
Implement Git branching strategies, branch protection rules, CODEOWNERS
policies, and environment-gated release controls.
Manage code review workflows, merge request processes, and version tagging
aligned to release management practices.
Integrate Git pipelines with project management tools (e.g., Jira) to ensure
traceability between work items and releases.

PowerShell Scripting & Automation
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automated maintenance, log
parsing, configuration deployment, and health checks.
Create PowerShell-based reporting for DataCap batch status, processing
metrics, and error-trend analysis.
Automate environment tasks (e.g., fingerprint deployment, service restarts, batch
queue management).
Script integration workflows across DataCap, SQL Server, and AWS services
(e.g., Textract) for extraction and operational reporting.
Maintain script documentation, version-control standards, and a shared team
scripting library.
Monitoring, Incident Management & Documentation
Operate and maintain monitoring dashboards for batch queue health, document
aging, and processing throughput.
Respond to and resolve incidents involving capture failures, workflow stalls, and
outages within defined SLAs.
Produce incident reports, root cause analyses (RCAs), and post-incident
documentation.
Maintain system documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks,
configuration baselines, and change logs.
Required Qualifications
IBM DataCap & ECM Platform
3+ years of hands-on IBM DataCap administration experience in an enterprise
environment.
Demonstrated expertise with DataCap core components (Taskmaster,
Rulerunner, and Web Taskmaster).
Working knowledge of IBM Content Navigator (ICN) administration.
Familiarity with DataCap log analysis, crash dump interpretation, and vendor
escalation processes.
Git & DevOps

Proficiency with Git repository management (branching, merging, tagging, pull
requests, and repository governance).
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
or equivalent).
Familiarity with environment-gated deployments and change-control integration.
PowerShell
Strong PowerShell scripting skills (modules, error handling, scheduling, and SQL
Server integration).
Experience using PowerShell for system administration, log processing, and
operational automation.
Ability to write readable, maintainable scripts suitable for a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with WebSphere Application Server administration, SSO and session
management.
Familiarity with .NET or Java development for DataCap custom actions or ICN
plug-in integration.
Experience with SQL Server DBA activities (query tuning, index maintenance,
storage management, SSMS operations).
Exposure to AI/ML document processing tools (e.g., AWS Textract, Hugging
Face OCR models).
