Summary

An innovative interactive entertainment technology organization is seeking a Software Engineer with a strong foundation in software development and a passion for building the infrastructure that powers large-scale, live digital experiences.

In this role, you'll blend software engineering and DevOps practices to design automation, develop internal tooling, and support cloud-native platforms that deliver real-time audience engagement.

By providing technical solutions and contributing to mapped-out optimization initiatives, you'll help ensure applications are reliable, scalable, and ready for high-visibility live environments.

If you enjoy writing code, automating everything possible, and supporting systems that operate under real-world pressure, this role offers a unique technical playground.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or site reliability roles, with a solid hands-on understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions
  • Experience working with containerized systems (Docker) and supporting scalable application architectures in Linux-based environments

Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with infrastructure automation and artifact management tools such as Packer and Artifactory
  • Familiarity with observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or CloudWatch for monitoring system health and performance
  • Exposure to serverless or event-driven architectures, or experience supporting technology in live demo, broadcast, or event-driven environments

Daily Responsibilities
  • Hands-On Engineering: 65%
  • Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work: 35%

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis now and in the future.

Accommodation will be provided in all parts of the hiring process as required under Motion Recruitment's Employment Accommodation policy. Applicants need to make their needs known in advance.
