Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Residential Security Technician to join a growing team. This role focuses on the installation, service, and maintenance of residential burglar alarm and CCTV/video surveillance systems, with occasional exposure to fire alarm systems.
This position requires someone who takes pride in their work, prioritizes customer satisfaction, and can operate independently in the field while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, service, and maintain residential security systems, including CCTV and burglar alarms
  • Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling
  • Mount and configure cameras, sensors, and control panels
  • Troubleshoot system issues and perform repairs as needed
  • Educate homeowners on system functionality and usage
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and code standards
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance while working in customers' homes
  • Complete documentation and communicate updates effectively

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with low-voltage systems installation (CCTV, alarm systems, cabling)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces (attics) and varying conditions
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-first approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Additional Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience with fire alarm systems
  • Exposure to commercial installations
  • Basic knowledge of networking/IP systems

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
