Position Focus

1.Maintain, respond to and distribute telecommunications service requests, repair incidents and infrastructure requests to team using ITS service management systems. 2.Manage all personnel tasks of team including university policy compliance, work schedules, coaching and performance reviews for bargaining unit staff, after-hours and special event coverage. 3.Maintain telecommunications infrastructure technical expertise including State of Connecticut licensing in regard to emerging trends, customer requirements, maintenance and support. 4.Coordinate the logistics for internal and external resources including University departments beyond ITS in regard to the installation and maintenance of telecommunications and data communications infrastructure. 5. Manage the inventory including the purchase and storage of all telecommunications and infrastructure components in accordance with University asset-tracking standards and policies. 6.Maintain engagement with University teams beyond ITS in regard to large renovation and move projects Maintain equipment inventory, storage and availability for IT departments in ITS warehouse facility at 344 Winchester. 7.Receive and process equipment delivery utilizing Service Now inventory process. 8.Manage secure logistics including badge and camera access throughout all warehouse spaces

Principal Responsibilities

1. Provides supervision to a unit or group of operational or technical employees.
2. Establishes and delegates day-to day tasks to meet unit/department objectives.
3. Ensures compliance with department, University policies, procedures, and internal controls.
4. Ensures accountability and stewardship of operational, financial and staff resources in compliance with department & University standards.
5. Oversees and manages segments of larger projects, developmental trainings, presentations, and communications.
6. Provides coaching, training, and mentorship to level 1 and 2 staff and/or non-exempt staff.

Required Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree and four years of experience or equivalent education and experience.
