Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Field Technician in Atlanta, GA.

Essential Functions:
Premise site surveys:
* Plan installations by studying customer work orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications; Gathering equipment, supplies, materials, and tools; Assessing installation sites; Preparing an installation diagram when needed
* Installs and tests a variety of telecommunications network cabling infrastructure using appropriate industry standard, including hybrid, fiber optic, copper, UTP, coaxial cable, cable terminal blocks, patch panels, data jacks, MDFs and IDFs
* Rack and stack of core networking and voice hardware
* Maintain in real-time all required company information systems including service orders and databases
* Document network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; Recording configuration diagrams and specifications
* Assists with changes in network backbone, switch configuration, PBX upgrades and other system installations and maintenance
* Assist clients with their technical questions and concerns
* Troubleshoot equipment and service issues remotely and on-site
* Assist in the identification and resolution of other vendor lines/circuit problems, reaching a solution
* Install wireless access points (WAPs) and related equipment at height, working safely from ladders, lifts, or other elevated access equipment in accordance with working-at-height safety procedures
* Report any incidents, losses, injuries or property damage to the manager/supervisor and customer when appropriate
* Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor in order to achieve departmental goals and objectives

REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to work assigned hours on a regular scheduled tour; Must be willing to work overtime (voluntary or assigned) and to be available for call-outs, including nights, weekends and holidays
* A great attitude, excellent social skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
* Proficient in the installation, maintenance repair and use of various types of communications systems and SIP Trunking
* Basic PC configurations skills (setting IP addresses, pinging equipment, and circuit testing, etc.)
* Must possess basic PC skills (MS Office suite, email, remote network access keyboarding, ability to retrieve data, etc.); Ability to learn any/all relevant Company systems requiring PC use and as related to the installation/repair of products requiring PCs
* Experience working with IP Networking, Switches, and Routers
* Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers
* Ability to communicate with people from a technical and non-technical background
* Must be able to work, move, or carry objects or materials such as phone and networking equipment up to 75 pounds in weight and work on a variety of ladder heights
* Knowledge of and/or experience with Avaya IP Office systems is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
