Job Title: Senior Power BI consultant

Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid - 3 days working from office)

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Power BI Consultant to design and deliver scalable business intelligence solutions by integrating enterprise data sources including SAP systems, Databricks, and modern cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Power BI, deep understanding of SAP data structures, and hands-on experience building end-to-end data pipelines and analytics solutions in the cloud.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integration & Architecture

• Design and implement data pipelines integrating SAP (ECC, S/4HANA, BW) with cloud platforms
• Build scalable ETL/ELT solutions using tools like Azure Data Factory and Databricks
• Architect data models using best practices (star schema, medallion architecture)

SAP Data Expertise

• Extract and transform data from SAP modules (FI/CO, SD, MM, BW)
• Work with SAP connectors (ODP, CDS views, extractors)
• Ensure data consistency and reconciliation between SAP and reporting layers

Databricks & Data Engineering

• Develop and optimize data pipelines using PySpark/SQL in Databricks
• Implement Delta Lake and manage large-scale datasets
• Optimize performance, partitioning, and cost efficiency

Power BI Development

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI
• Create complex DAX measures and data models
• Implement:
  • Row-Level Security (RLS)
  • Incremental refresh
  • Composite models

Cloud Integration

• Work across cloud platforms such as:
  • Microsoft Azure
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Google Cloud
• Integrate data from APIs, databases, and streaming sources
• Ensure secure and compliant data access (IAM, networking, governance)

Stakeholder Engagement

• Gather and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Lead workshops, demos, and architecture discussions
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Experience

• 8-10+ years in BI/Data Analytics roles
• Over 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI
• Proven experience integrating SAP data with analytics platforms
• Strong experience with Databricks and cloud-based data platforms
