Job Title: Agile Delivery Lead / Senior Scrum Master

Location : Warren, NJ, USA ( 4 days - In person interview)

Property & Casualty insurance domain exp is mandatory.

About the Role

The Agile Delivery Lead / Senior Scrum Master drives predictable, outcomefocused delivery across complex technology initiatives. This role blends servant leadership, delivery accountability, agile coaching, and crossteam coordination to ensure teams deliver highquality digital and platform solutions.

You will partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering, Architecture, Project Governance Office, and business stakeholders to maintain transparency, flow, and continuous improvement while fostering a healthy, collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Facilitation & Team Leadership

  • Serve as Scrum Master / Agile Lead for one or more crossfunctional teams within PNC Insurance.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement.
  • Coach teams toward selforganization, accountability, and high performance.
  • Ensure adherence to agile principles, working agreements, and flowbased delivery practices.
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Delivery Leadership & Predictability

  • Maintain a disciplined sprint cadence and ensure teams deliver against commitments.
  • Own sprintlevel and releaselevel predictability using metrics such as velocity, burndown, cycle time, throughput, and flow efficiency.
  • Use Azure DevOps to visualize work, manage dependencies, and drive datadriven insights.
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve risks, issues, and blockers early.
  • Ensure delivery aligns to business outcomes such as regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, customer experience, or modernization goals.

Stakeholder Partnership & Decision Facilitation

  • Partner with Product Owners to maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog and valuedriven roadmap.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers and Architects on capacity planning, technical health, and crossteam dependencies.
  • Present clear options, tradeoffs, and impacts to drive timely decisionmaking.
  • Provide transparent communication on progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership, PMO, and business partners.

Agile Coaching & Organizational Maturity

  • Coach individuals and teams on agile mindset, behaviors, and best practices.
  • Support organizationwide agile maturity and standardization initiatives.
  • Help teams evolve from ceremonydriven execution to outcomedriven delivery.
  • Promote experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement.

DevOps & Engineering Enablement

  • Champion Azure DevOps best practices: dashboards, automated reporting, and work item hygiene.
  • Support adoption of modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, trunkbased development).
  • Encourage flowbased delivery to reduce cycle time and improve predictability.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role supporting software development teams.
  • Strong experience working in PNC Insurance within different lines of business including Underwriting, Data, Claims domain etc.
  • Strong handson experience with Azure DevOps preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage risks, dependencies, and delivery predictability in complex environments.
  • Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, and scaled agile frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflictresolution skills.
  • Ability to interpret delivery metrics and use them to improve flow and throughput.
  • Experience working in fastpaced, evolving environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Scrum Master certifications (CSM, PSM I/II, SAFe SM).
  • Experience in P&C insurance (policy, billing, claims, underwriting, or data) or other regulated industries.
  • Background in software development, QA, product management, or DevOps.
  • Experience coaching multiple teams or supporting agile transformations.
  • Familiarity with regulatory cycles, vendor integrations, and modernization programs.
