Summary

A growing professional services organization is building out a new internal IT team after transitioning away from outsourced support. This opportunity is based in downtown Chicago and focuses on end-user computing, device deployments, and onsite desktop support in a Windows and Microsoft 365 environment. This is a contract-to-hire role with long-term growth potential.

This is not a ticket-factory or call-center role. You'll be the primary onsite IT presence in the company's main office, supporting senior leadership and a highly tenured employee base that expects polished, efficient IT support. The team is small, experienced, and expanding as the company continues to acquire new businesses, making this a strong fit for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety, and wearing multiple hats.

Contract Duration: 6 - 12 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • 4+ years of hands-on desktop or end-user support experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11 in an Active Directory environment
  • Experience imaging and deploying laptops (Windows and some macOS)
  • User account creation and administration in Microsoft 365
  • Familiarity with MFA tools (Duo or similar)
  • Ability to work independently in an onsite office setting
  • Strong communication and customer-facing skills
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience managing IT depot operations (shipping, receiving, inventory)
  • Conference room and AV troubleshooting experience
  • Exposure to Intune, SCCM, or Autopilot
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts
  • Prior experience supporting executive users

  • 45% Windows / Microsoft 365 Support
  • 30% Laptop Imaging, Deployment, and Depot Operations
  • 15% Active Directory & Account Administration
  • 10% AV, Conference Room, and Peripheral Support

Daily Responsibilities
  • 70% Hands-On Technical Support
  • 15% Administrative / Asset Management
  • 15% Team Collaboration & Documentation
