JOB DESCRIPTION
MuleSoft Developer We are seeking a MuleSoft Developer to join our team in the Denver metro area. This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong in MuleSoft development, communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and is excited to help elevate the capabilities of the broader team through coaching and best practice sharing.
This position is critical to building reliable and scalable integrations while strengthening internal MuleSoft capability across the team. We are looking for someone who brings both technical depth and a team-first mindset - someone who can deliver quality solutions and help others grow along the way.
The ideal candidate is:
- A strong hands-on MuleSoft developer who can independently deliver integration solutions
- A clear and confident communicator
- Collaborative, approachable, and effective in cross-functional environments
- Interested in raising the technical maturity of the team, not just completing assigned development work
- Comfortable balancing delivery responsibilities with mentorship and enablement of others
- Proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement in integration design, standards, and processes
Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain integrations and APIs using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Build scalable, secure, and reusable integration solutions across enterprise applications, data sources, and cloud/on-prem systems
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, project managers, and developers to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Apply API-led connectivity principles and support the full API lifecycle, including design, development, governance, and support
- Create and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and operational runbooks
- Troubleshoot integration issues and support root cause analysis, performance tuning, and defect resolution
- Ensure solutions follow enterprise standards for security, reliability, performance, and maintainability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to establishing development standards and integration patterns
- Mentor and support team members by sharing MuleSoft best practices, reviewing designs, and helping improve team capabilities
- Act as a strong communicator and partner across teams, helping bridge technical and business conversations effectively.
Minimum Requirements - 3+ years of experience in software development, with strong experience in MuleSoft development
- Hands-on experience with Mule 4 and Anypoint Platform
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, web services, and system integrations
- Strong understanding of API-led connectivity, reusable integration patterns, and service-oriented architecture
- Experience with DataWeave, API policies, connectors, and error handling frameworks
- Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as Salesforce, ERP platforms (SAP, NetSuite, Workday Financials), databases, SaaS applications, or other internal/external systems
- Strong understanding of application integration concepts, message transformation, orchestration, and asynchronous processing
- Experience with Git/version control, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a range of audiences
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to mentor team members and help drive adoption of MuleSoft best practices
- Local to the Denver-metro area and able to work in office three days per week strongly preferred
Preferred Qualifications - MuleSoft certifications such as MuleSoft Certified Developer or related Anypoint certifications
- Experience with API governance, API management, and integration architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with DevOps practices, automated testing, and deployment automation
- Knowledge of security standards such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO, TLS, and API security best practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
- Background in performance optimization, logging/monitoring, and production support
Experience defining reusable frameworks, templates, and integration standards for broader team adoption
