The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is sourcing for a premier financial services partner in Stamford, CT to lead the search for a Senior Java Developer to drive the evolution of their high-throughput Client Portal Web API platform. This hybrid, full-time role (3 days on-site in Stamford, CT / 2 days remote) places you at the center of an elite engineering group delivering real-time, mission-critical digital architecture to internal systems, institutional stakeholders, and external clients. What You’ll Do

  • Architect, scale, and refine enterprise Web API platform architecture delivering mission-critical, real-time data services.

  • Engineer resilient backend microservices and client-facing interfaces in close cross-functional collaboration with internal product and business leaders.

  • Champion rigorous code quality standards by authoring comprehensive documentation, automated unit tests, and regression testing suites for newly deployed endpoints.

  • Provide expert Tier-3 escalation support, identifying and resolving root-cause technical challenges across production systems.

  • Drive continuous platform growth by integrating cutting-edge API frameworks and real-time communication protocols.

What You Bring

  • Academic background holding a Bachelor''s Degree or Master''s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

  • 7–15 years of professional software development experience with proven mastery of Java, Spring, and Vert.x.

  • Advanced technical fluency in RESTful Web Services architecture, WebSockets protocol, and real-time communication protocols.

  • Deep proficiency using Git version control for code management and team collaboration.

  • Demonstrated experience writing automated testing solutions using JUnit or other testing frameworks.

  • Solid grasp of Software Development Principles, with hands-on exposure to Cloud Technologies (e.g., AWS) and Agile Methodologies / Agile Frameworks.

  • Exceptional analytical problem-solving abilities paired with outstanding verbal and written Communication Skills.

Compensation & Total Rewards

  • Base Salary Range: $180,000 – $220,000 annual salary (Full-Time / Direct Hire).

  • Incentive Compensation: 30% annual performance-based bonus and stock grants.

  • Work Model & Location: Hybrid schedule (3 days in Stamford, CT office / 2 days remote). Paid relocation available.
