Role Overview
This position supports the development and evaluation of guidance, navigation, and control systems for advanced aerospace applications. The role involves applying mathematical models, control theories, and algorithm development to achieve precision in navigation and control performance. This is an onsite position that requires analyzing system behavior, designing solutions, and integrating hardware and software components to ensure system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, verify, and test software and simulation toolchains.
- Work on a 6 degree of freedom (6DOF) simulation to design and test flight code.
- Optimize flight software and simulation software.
- Work with various trajectory optimization software and tools.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree with 2 years of professional experience, or a Master's degree with 0 years of professional experience.
Technical Skills: Experience with C++, Python, MATLAB, and development in a Linux environment. Experience designing and testing flight code is also required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with an active DOD Secret Clearance are highly preferred for this position
- A Master's or PhD in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of control systems theory and guidance law design.
- Familiarity with Jira, 6DoF, Aerodynamic Modeling, Agile, Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), Guidance Systems, LQR, Monte Carlo Analysis, PID, Rigid Body Dynamics, and State Estimation.
Work Schedule
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
