Role Overview
This role is ideal for an individual early in their career with hands-on experience supporting enterprise physical security systems and an eagerness to grow in a dynamic environment. The engineer will support, maintain, and optimize the physical security technology stack, including access control, video management, reporting systems, security applications, and related integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, support, and troubleshoot Lenel OnGuard access control systems and integrated subsystems.
- Support identity, badge management, and visitor management-related security platforms and workflows.
- Maintain enterprise video management systems (VMS), ensuring uptime, reliability, and integration with access control and analytics platforms.
- Support security applications and tools such as case management, investigation management, reporting, and forensic analytics platforms.
- Manage, monitor, and optimize SQL-based databases, including data integrity, reporting, and system performance.
- Perform routine system health checks and ensure the availability of systems supported by the team.
- Support internal applications and integrations with upstream and downstream systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve end-user issues, support tickets, and escalations in a timely manner.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.
- Collaborate with IT teams on system administration, server support, networking, cybersecurity, and infrastructure dependencies.
- Document system configurations, process flows, changes, and user guides.
- Support system upgrades, patching, testing, change management, and compliance-related activities.
- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows and improve system scalability through automation and process improvements.
- Provide support for site implementations and configuration activities.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Experience: 1-4 years of experience in physical security systems engineering, application support, or IT systems support is necessary.
Technical Skills:- Certification and hands-on experience with Lenel OnGuard or similar enterprise access control platforms.
- Familiarity with video management systems such as Milestone, Genetec, or Avigilon.
- Proficiency in SQL, including queries, data management, and working with relational databases.
- Understanding of system administration, networking fundamentals, and cybersecurity best practices.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $50.00 and $58.00 per hour. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
