IT Project Manager/Scrum Master

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support a growing technology organization managing an increasing portfolio of initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving project execution, improving delivery processes, and creating structure across a dynamic technology environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex IT projects, working across Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and partnering with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent IT projects from initial planning through successful delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and expected outcomes

• Provide structure, organization, and visibility across initiatives in a fast-moving environment where processes continue to evolve

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technical resources, and leadership to coordinate project activities and drive execution

• Develop and deliver regular project reporting, including bi-weekly initiative summaries and updates for senior leadership

• Support technology transformation initiatives, including cloud migration efforts, SaaS adoption, and DevOps-driven improvements

• Promote Agile delivery practices and support teams transitioning toward a stronger Agile and Scrum mindset

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog discussions, and continuous improvement activities

• Support documentation and collaboration improvements using platforms such as Confluence

• Provide light JIRA administration support within a JIRA Data Center environment, including user roles, permissions, workflow support, JQL queries, and integrations

• Act as a key communication partner between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to maintain alignment and transparency

• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring solutions meet business requirements before release

• Identify project risks, resource constraints, dependencies, and delivery challenges while helping teams develop mitigation strategies

• Utilize project management tools such as MS Project and JIRA to track progress, manage timelines, and maintain project visibility

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of experience managing IT projects in complex technology environments

• Proven experience leading projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

• Experience serving as a Scrum Master while managing projects and delivery teams

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification required

• Strong understanding of Scrum frameworks, sprint methodologies, backlog management, and Agile delivery practices

• Hands-on experience with JIRA, including project tracking, workflows, reporting, and team collaboration

• Experience working with JIRA Data Center (on-premise) environments, including familiarity with JQL, roles, permissions, and integrations

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple initiatives

• Excellent communication skills with experience partnering with technical teams, business users, and executive stakeholders

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, remove blockers, and improve processes

• Experience using collaboration and documentation tools such as Confluence

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience managing technology initiatives involving cloud migrations, SaaS platforms, DevOps practices, or modernization efforts

• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives and implementing scalable project delivery practices

• Background in business analysis, requirements gathering, and facilitating UAT activities

• Experience with change management within technology organizations

• Familiarity with MS Project, JIRA Data Center administration, and enterprise project tracking tools

• Experience supporting low-code/no-code platforms and enterprise SaaS applications

• Additional certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or other Agile/Scrum-related certifications

• Experience working in organizations undergoing rapid growth, transformation, or operational change
