OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Angular Web Developer to join a core web development team responsible for building, modernizing, and maintaining both internal and public-facing web applications. This role is focused primarily on front-end modernization efforts, including upgrading legacy AngularJS applications to the latest Angular framework. The ideal candidate has deep Angular expertise, strong accessibility knowledge, and thrives in an Agile/Scrum and DevOps-oriented environment.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, modernize, and maintain web-based user interfaces
- Lead and support migration efforts from AngularJS to modern Angular (v21 or later)
- Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using modern UI frameworks
- Ensure applications meet accessibility standards and support screen readers following WCAG guidelines
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional development teams on both new development and enhancement of existing applications
- Contribute to code quality through test-driven development practices
- Participate in peer code reviews using a Git-based pull request model
- Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows as part of the development lifecycle
Required Qualifications- Strong experience with modern web development technologies, including:
- Angular user interfaces (including both AngularJS and modern Angular)
- Responsive design using Bootstrap 4 or higher
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD), emphasizing high code coverage and integration testing
- Experience designing and implementing accessible web applications:
- Screen reader support
- Compliance with WCAG and modern accessibility standards
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including:
- Daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Use of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Experience contributing to both new development initiatives and existing application support
- Experience with GitHub using a GitFlow pull request model
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 4 years of professional Information Technology experience
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with agentic or AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Gemini, Claude)
- Experience supporting or building automated CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions
