Basic Qualifications:
Ability to work with little guidance on data science methodologies and modeling approaches based on sound business acumen
Ability to provide peer leadership to junior colleagues
Must exhibit competence in at least one of the following analytical fields, inclusive of topics as noted:
Statistics (two or more topics): Bayesian statistics, Generalized linear models, Mixture models, Nonparametric regression, Structural equation models, Time series (state space models, ARIMA, etc.)
Econometrics (two or more topics):
Generalized method of moments
Instrumental variables
Limited dependent variables
Panel data
Simultaneous equations models
Machine learning (two or more topics):
Boosting, CART,Clustering,Graphical models,Neural networks,Random forests,Reinforcement learning, Support vector machines
Must exhibit competence in Python
Key Responsibilities
Apply statistical and analytical methods to support business and project needs
Develop and work with data-driven solutions using Python and SQL
Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams on ongoing analytics initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
Python (must-have)
SQL (any variant; Snowflake experience is relevant as it is used by the team)
Strong foundation in statistics
Nice-to-Have Skills - Experience with Docker or similar tools
Required Education:
BA/BS Degree Comp Sci/IS or related field
Preferred Education:
5 or more years of related/relevant experience
