Role Overview
We are seeking a mid- to senior-level Informatica IDMC Developer for a 3-month contract role. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing ETL solutions in a dynamic environment. This role requires an independent thinker with strong communication skills who can interpret business needs, handle ad-hoc requests, and work with minimal supervision to support and modernize data pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Informatica (IDMC/PowerCenter), SQL, and Python.
- Create and manage packages with advanced SQL.
- Work with APIs, managing and processing JSON outputs.
- Perform data forensics on legacy systems to map data flows for re-engineering and modernization efforts.
- Interpret business requirements to implement technical solutions for ad-hoc engineering requests.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide updates and maintain a high level of communication.
- Work independently, taking ownership of tasks from conception through to resolution.
- Ensure data integrity and operational stability of data pipelines through proactive monitoring and testing.
- Adhere to SDLC best practices, using tools like Azure DevOps for version control and task management.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of seven years of experience in data engineering or a similar role is required. This includes demonstrated experience with Informatica IDMC or PowerCenter, understanding mappings, workflows, and processes, and integrating data from various sources such as APIs, flat files, and relational databases.
Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL, including creating packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers is necessary. Basic Python scripting abilities and experience with API integration, specifically with JSON outputs, are also required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JAMS or a similar scheduling tool.
- Extensive experience with Informatica IDMC.
- Familiarity with AI tooling to accelerate code development.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience in a restaurant or hospitality industry setting.
Work Environment
This position is fully remote. Candidates must maintain a professional and secure remote work environment with a reliable high-speed internet connection. The role requires participation in virtual meetings, potentially with video enabled, during standard East Coast business hours.
Compensation
The anticipated pay rate for this position is between $65.00 and $75.00 per hour.
