Pay Rate: $50 - $57Top Requirements:4+ years software engineering experience, specifically Python + Node.js.5+ years strong proficiency in Python (Django/Flask) and Node.js, with solid JavaScript/TypeScript knowledge.Back-end expertise: REST APIs, microservices, server-side development.Database skills: PostgreSQL/MySQL + MongoDB/Redis.Cloud experience: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform + familiarity with DevOps practices.Git + version control workflows.Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.Strong communication + problem-solving skills.Plusses:Front-end knowledge (React, Angular, Vue).CI/CD pipeline experience.Docker + Kubernetes experience.Testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, PyTest).Financial services experience (preferred).Job Summary:In this contingent assignment, the Software Engineer will participate in moderately complex software engineering initiatives, contributing to large-scale planning and solution delivery across backend systems. The engineer will analyze technical challenges, support issue resolution, and collaborate with internal client engineering teams. The role requires strong Python and Node.js experience, back-end API development, cloud technologies, database expertise, and the ability to function in a fast-paced Agile environment. This position is conversion eligible and requires onsite work in one of the four approved hub locations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Design & Development: Architect, design, and develop scalable back-end services using Python and Node.js.
- System Integration: Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services into the system architecture.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable code following best practices in testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks to improve speed and scalability.
- Collaboration: Partner with front-end engineers, DevOps, and cross-functional teams for smooth deployment.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior developers.
- Problem Solving: Analyze complex issues and create innovative solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Keep current with modern technologies and suggest process improvements.
- Testing & Debugging: Build and execute unit/integration tests to ensure reliability.
- Documentation: Maintain technical specifications, design docs, and user guides.
