Position – REMOTE Database Administrator (DBA) SECRET CLEARED
Location – Remote (Candidates must live/work in the DMV area)
Pay Rate – $110,000 - $124,000
Contract – 5 ½ Years LONG TERM
**Must have at least a Secret Clearance
Mindbank Consulting Group has an immediate need for a Database Administrator (DBA).
Database Administrator (DBA) Responsibilities:
· Responsible for database administration, maintenance, performance tuning, and security management.
- Establish and enforce database security standards and best practices.
- Develop and guide data migration strategies for large-scale applications and enterprise systems.
- Perform database performance tuning, patch management, health monitoring, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Ensure compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and other applicable security requirements.
- Administer and support Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Troubleshoot database issues and implement corrective actions to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Database Administrator (DBA) Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases
· Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server Database administration including performance tuning, patching, database health monitoring, backup and recovery, and STIG compliance.
· Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science
· Must have a current DoD IAT Level II/III certification (Security+, CySA+)
· Must have a relevant current Database certification (Microsoft SQL Server is preferred or Oracle Certified Professional)
· Strong communication skills orally and in writing and must have a positive customer service attitude with excellent attention to detail.
· Navy experience is preferred.
