Pay Range: $50.00hr - $55.00hr

Job Overview:

Our client is looking for an experienced DevOps Lead to drive DevOps strategy, CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, and operational excellence across enterprise applications. The role will provide technical leadership to engineering teams, establish DevOps standards and best practices, and ensure reliable, secure, and scalable application delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines for application build, testing, deployment, and release.
  • Define and implement DevOps engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices across development teams.
  • Design and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approaches and tools such as Terraform.
  • Lead containerization and orchestration initiatives using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Manage and optimize cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployments, monitoring, and operational activities, establishing effective observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities.
  • Partner with Development, QA, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams to improve software delivery.
  • Embed security controls and DevSecOps practices within CI/CD and infrastructure processes.
  • Drive improvements in deployment reliability, scalability, availability, and operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot complex deployment, infrastructure, performance, and production issues.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to DevOps and engineering team members.
  • Support release planning, environment management, production deployments, and incident resolution.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation and engineering improvements.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience with DevOps, CI/CD, cloud engineering, and infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD technologies such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
  • Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including production deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with Git-based source control and branching strategies.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Splunk, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Monitor, or CloudWatch.
  • Understanding of networking, IAM, secrets management, security, and cloud governance.
  • Good understanding of Agile, release management, SRE, and DevSecOps principles.
  • Ability to lead DevOps technical design and implementation across multiple teams, demonstrating strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with architects, developers, QA, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions and risks to leadership.
  • Ability to mentor engineers and drive adoption of engineering standards and automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, or DevOps certifications.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or cloud transformation programs.
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps, SRE, automated testing, and deployment governance practices.
  • Experience leading migration from legacy deployment processes to modern automated CI/CD platforms.
  • 8+ years of overall IT/engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of DevOps/cloud engineering experience.
  • Prior experience functioning as a DevOps Lead, Technical Lead, or Cloud/Platform Engineering Lead.
