Node.JS Full Stack Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Node.JS Full Stack Developer in Minneapolis, MN.

Summary:
We are seeking a Full-Stack Node.js Developer to help design, build, and support integrations with QuickBooks as part of a modern, cloud-based application ecosystem. This role is backend-heavy, with Node.js as the core requirement, and will work closely with accounting and financial data workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, build, and maintain Node.js backend services supporting QuickBooks integrations
* Integrate with QuickBooks Online APIs (auth, data sync, webhooks)
* Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for accounting and financial workflows
* Handle data synchronization between QuickBooks and internal systems
* Design and manage data models using MongoDB
* Support frontend development and enhancements using Ember.js
* Deploy and manage services in AWS cloud environments
* Troubleshoot integration issues related to data consistency, failures, and edge cases
* Collaborate with internal teams to translate accounting and finance requirements into technical solutions

REQUIREMENTS:
* The ideal candidate has hands-on experience integrating with QuickBooks APIs, managing data synchronization, and translating financial system requirements into scalable application logic
* Frontend experience with Ember.js is required to support user-facing functionality tied to financial workflows
* Strong hands-on experience with Node.js (primary requirement)
* Proven experience integrating with QuickBooks (Online) APIs
* Solid JavaScript experience across backend and frontend
* Experience building full-stack applications
* Hands-on experience with MongoDB/NoSQL databases
* Experience working in AWS cloud environments
* Frontend development experience with Ember.js (or strong familiarity)
* Understanding of financial or accounting system concepts (invoicing, payments, reconciliations, chart of accounts)

Nice to Have:
* Experience with OAuth 2.0 and third-party API authentication flows
* Familiarity with webhooks and event-driven integrations
* Prior experience working with financial, ERP, or accounting platforms
* Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development practices

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
