Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP LE/EWM Functional Lead to drive end-to-end logistics and warehouse transformation within an S/4HANA environment. This role will act as the subject matter expert for Logistics Execution and Extended Warehouse Management, supporting manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and IT to design scalable logistics solutions and ensure successful global deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Functional Leadership

• Act as the primary SME for SAP LE and EWM
• Design and optimize core logistics processes:
  • Inbound receiving
  • Putaway & storage control
  • Outbound picking, packing, and shipping
  • Transportation execution
  • Handling Unit (HU) management
  • Production supply & staging
  • Replenishment and quality inspection
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications aligned with enterprise standards

Project Delivery & Implementation

• Lead LE/EWM functional workstreams in S/4HANA implementations
• Oversee configuration, documentation, integration, and testing
• Ensure alignment with manufacturing models (MTS, MTO, CTO, ETO)
• Conduct workshops and validate business requirements

Integration Management

• Ensure seamless integration with:
  • SAP modules: SD, MM, PP, QM, Finance
  • External systems: WMS/TMS (e.g., Manhattan), carrier systems
  • MES platforms (e.g., AVEVA, LDS)
• Collaborate with middleware teams using SAP CPI, PI/PO, MuleSoft, etc.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Standardize logistics processes across plants and distribution centers
• Promote SAP best practices and reduce customization
• Support S/4HANA logistics innovations
• Maintain governance, change control, and design integrity

Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration

• Lead Agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning)
• Partner with Product Owners on roadmap and prioritization
• Support training, change management, and cutover planning

Required Experience

• 8+ years of SAP functional experience in LE, WM, or EWM
• 3+ years of S/4HANA logistics/warehouse experience
• At least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation (end-to-end)
• Experience in manufacturing environments (preferably discrete manufacturing)

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in:
  • SAP EWM (warehouse structure, WOCR, RF, waves, queues, HU management)
  • SAP LE (shipping, transportation, route determination)
  • Inventory Management, batch/serial tracking, physical inventory
• Integration knowledge with SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, QM, Finance)
• Experience with EDI, ASN, and carrier integrations
• Ability to create FSDs, test scripts, and WRICEF designs
• Familiarity with SAP Activate, Agile, Scrum, SAFe
