WMS Business Analyst

Position Title

WMS Business Analyst (Warehouse Management System Business Analyst)

Location:Northeast, MD

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced WMS Business Analyst to support warehouse management and supply chain initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, and IT teams to analyze requirements, improve warehouse processes, and support WMS implementations and enhancements.

The candidate should possess strong experience in Warehouse Management Systems, logistics operations, inventory management, and system integrations within retail, manufacturing, or distribution environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
• Work with stakeholders to improve:
  • Inventory management
  • Receiving and put-away
  • Picking and packing
  • Shipping and fulfillment
  • Cycle counting and replenishment
• Support WMS implementation, configuration, enhancement, and upgrade projects.
• Create and maintain:
  • BRDs (Business Requirement Documents)
  • FRDs (Functional Requirement Documents)
  • Process flows
  • User stories
  • Test cases
• Coordinate with development, QA, integration, and operations teams.
• Participate in UAT testing and defect resolution.
• Analyze data and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Support integrations between WMS and:
  • ERP systems
  • TMS
  • OMS
  • eCommerce platforms
  • Automation systems
• Provide production support and issue troubleshooting.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings and status reporting.
• Work within Agile/Scrum project environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with strong WMS experience.
• Hands-on experience with one or more WMS platforms:
  • Manhattan WMS
  • Blue Yonder / JDA
  • SAP EWM
  • Oracle WMS
  • Krber / HighJump
• Strong understanding of:
  • Warehouse operations
  • Supply chain management
  • Logistics and distribution processes
• Experience with requirements gathering and process mapping.
• Knowledge of SQL and data analysis.
• Experience with API/integration concepts.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in retail, manufacturing, or distribution industries.
• Exposure to automation technologies and robotics integration.
• Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools.
• Prior experience supporting onsite/offshore teams.

Education

• Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
