SAP Plan-to-Produce Consultant
Location: Normal, IL (Onsite)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SAP Plan-to-Produce (P2P) Consultant with strong functional expertise in SAP PP and related manufacturing modules to support end-to-end planning and production processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience across demand planning, production planning, execution, and integration with procurement, inventory, and finance in complex SAP environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and support end-to-end Plan-to-Produce processes:
o Demand Management & Forecasting
o Production Planning (MPS/MRP)
o Capacity Planning
o Production Orders & Execution
o Goods Issue / Goods Receipt
Configure and support SAP PP:
o BOMs, Routings, Work Centers
o Production versions
o Planning strategies & scheduling
Integrate SAP PP with:
o MM (Procure-to-Pay)
o SD (Order-to-Cash)
o FI/CO (Costing, settlement, variance analysis)
Support shop floor execution and manufacturing processes
Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams
Support UAT, cutover, go-live, and production support
Analyze and resolve production planning and execution issues
Ensure compliance with business controls and manufacturing best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong experience in SAP PP (Production Planning)
Deep understanding of Plan-to-Produce / Plan-to-Manufacture lifecycle
Experience with MRP, capacity planning, production execution
Strong knowledge of BOMs, routings, and work centers
Integration experience with MM, SD, and FI/CO
Experience in SAP implementations, rollouts, or support
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with SAP S/4HANA PP
Exposure to Advanced Planning tools (PP/DS, APO, IBP)
Experience in manufacturing / automotive / consumer goods industries
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Make-to-Order / Make-to-Stock
SAP PP or S/4HANA certification
