Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Senior SAP Production Planning (PP) Consultant to provide onsite support for a critical system integration project. This role requires hands-on expertise in SAP PP module implementation, optimization, and support.

Key Responsibilities

Lead SAP PP module configuration, testing, and deployment activities
Design and implement production planning processes including demand management, capacity planning, and MRP
Configure master data elements: BOMs, work centers, routing, production versions
Support manufacturing execution processes and shop floor integration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on S/4HANA migration or enhancement projects
Provide production support, troubleshooting, and user training
Document functional specifications and conduct system testing
Interface with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure process alignment

Required Qualifications

10+ years hands-on SAP PP implementation and support experience
Strong expertise in production planning processes: MRP, capacity planning, demand management
Experience with SAP PP integration points (MM, SD, QM, WM modules)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations
S/4HANA experience preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and client-facing abilities
Must be local to Illinois or willing to relocate for 100% onsite engagement

Technical Skills

SAP PP module configuration and customization
Production order processing and shop floor control
Master data management (BOMs, routings, work centers)
Variant configuration (desirable)
SAP Fiori applications knowledge (plus)
Integration experience with manufacturing execution systems
