Summary

About the Role:

As a Data & Analytics Analyst within Global Investment Banking (GIB) Technology Solutions, you'll help turn data into meaningful insights that support decision-making across GIB. Working closely with the Data Analytics Program Manager, you'll build and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models; support the Power BI Service environment; and partner with leaders and teams across the business to improve access to reliable, actionable information. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with business partnership and wants to become a trusted Power BI and data resource within GIB.

This position offers flexibility to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the Chicago or Milwaukee office and Monday and Friday remote.

The Impact You'll Make:
  • Build, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards that support GIB leadership, staffing, and deal teams
  • Develop and refine Power BI semantic models, including data model design, relationships, DAX measures, and row-level security
  • Support the Power BI Service environment, including workspaces, apps, audiences, access provisioning, gateway and refresh troubleshooting, and governance
  • Build reporting logic using data hosted in Snowflake and partner with the data team on source structure and refresh needs
  • Translate stakeholder reporting requests into clear, well-structured Power BI solutions for staffing, Finance, Industry and Product leadership, and the European team
  • Serve as a Power BI and data resource across GIB by answering questions, resolving report and access issues, and providing light training and onboarding
  • Validate data by confirming grain, reconciling totals, and identifying data-quality issues before reports go live
  • Maintain report documentation, descriptions, and user-facing training materials
  • Partner with the Data Analytics Program Manager and IT Data Team on the broader source-of-truth and reporting operating model initiative

What You'll Bring to Baird:
  • Approximately 2-3 years of relevant analytics or business intelligence experience; experience level may be flexible
  • Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI Desktop
  • Comfort working with data models, including relationships, measures and calculations, and structuring data for reporting
  • Ability to work directly with business stakeholders to scope and refine reporting requests and explain business intelligence concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly related to data accuracy and access and security settings
  • Experience with Power BI Service, including publishing, apps, workspace administration, and access management, is preferred
  • SQL proficiency, including querying, joins, and common table expressions, is preferred
  • Exposure to Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse is preferred
  • Experience with Power BI administration, including workspace and app structure, row-level security design, and capacity or gateway management, is preferred
  • Experience training or supporting business users on Power BI or a similar business intelligence tool is preferred
  • Familiarity with financial services, investment banking, or professional services reporting environments is preferred
  • Exposure to Salesforce as a source system is preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

Include pay transparency if required. Example below:
  • $71,000-$106,000 annual salary range
  • Bonus potential up to 20% of base pay
  • Compensation and bonus are commensurate with experience, performance and/or firm profitability
  • You'll have the opportunity to advance your career while enjoying our comprehensive benefits designed for your life, career and future
