Summary

Position: Data Engineer
Location: Blue Ash, OH (Hybrid 3 days onsite and candidate can work from Cincinnati, OH office too)
Type of Hire: Contract to Hire (w2)
Duration: 3-6 months contract then permanent role

Along with the below skills mentioned the key requirements are:
Excellent communication skills.
Must have worked with cross functional teams. Technically strong and lead a team of engineers.
Must provide recommendations with techniques.

Cloud environments: Azure & Google Cloud Platform

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and participate in the design and implementation of large-scale and/or architecturally significant applications.
Migrate and modernize customer data platforms from Netezza to Databricks.
Develop robust data pipelines and workflows for the new Customer Platform Analytics system.
Champion best practices and continuously work to improve software delivery processes.
Collaborate with application, business, and infrastructure teams to align on requirements and delivery.
Prepare estimates and work plans for design, development, implementation, and rollout phases.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery.
Support and maintain applications using Databricks and Netezza technologies.
Provide technical mentorship and, when required, direct the day-to-day work activities of team members.
Participate in onsite collaboration with development teams as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with Databricks and Netezza.
Proven experience setting up new customer data platforms and migration projects.
Ability to independently manage and execute complex technical tasks.
Strong understanding of data engineering principles and software development lifecycle.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
Effective communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to deliver results in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Strong commitment to customer-centric development and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in customer data analytics or customer platform engineering.
Background in retail, customer experience, or marketing analytics environments
