Network Lead
Location: Preference is for Auburn Hills, MI (1 day per week onsite) or remote in East/Central time zone + 10% annual travel
Employment Type: Contract to Perm
Role Overview
This is a senior Network, Security, and Cloud engineering role focused on strategy, architecture, and future state design with some day to day support. The role operates above L1/L2 operations, stepping in only for high impact, high complexity escalations while primarily driving direction during a period of significant change. Success requires independent judgment, ownership, and the ability to lead across a globally distributed stakeholder group.
Key Focus Areas
Own network, security, and cloud architecture/engineering and roadmaps
Ensure short term decisions align with long term strategy and architectural integrity
Provide technical leadership during overlapping initiatives:
oData center migration
oSD WAN (final phase)
oM&A integration (small acquisition)
oMajor transition to Microsoft Azure
oPlanning for future Network, Security, and Cloud state
Responsibilities
Resolve critical escalations from the MSP quickly and correctly
Provide technical direction rather than queue based ticket work
Align and govern architecture across SD WAN, Azure networking, data center exit, and M&A
Execute CISO defined security policies
Oversee MSP and network/security vendors (~10% service delivery oversight and ticket resolution)
Technical Scope

Cisco, Zscaler, Palo Alto (physical & virtual firewalls)
Microsoft Azure & Azure Networking
Active Directory; Infoblox (future)
ServiceNow (escalations)
Compensation & Benefits
The annual salary for this position is projected to be between $120,000.00 and $145,000.00. The contract pay rate is expected to be between $65.00 and $75.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
