Job Title: Monitoring & Observability Engineer (Datadog / Dynatrace / SCOM)
Location: Columbus OH & Phoenix AZ ( 4 days Onsite, 1 Day Remote)
We are seeking a hands-on Monitoring & Observability Engineer to own and enhance enterprise monitoring platforms across hybrid (on-prem + cloud) environments. This role is focused on engineering and configuring monitoring solutions, not just consuming dashboards.
The ideal candidate will have experience implementing monitoring tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, SCOM, SolarWinds, etc.), onboarding servers/applications, and building actionable alerting frameworks that improve system visibility and reduce alert noise.
You will work closely with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to ensure full monitoring coverage, reliable alerting, and compliance visibility across the environment.
Required Skills:
- 4–8 years of experience in monitoring/observability or infrastructure engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, SCOM, SolarWinds, etc.)
- Experience building and configuring alerts, not just responding to them
- Solid understanding of infrastructure, networking (DNS, firewalls, load balancers), and system performance
- Experience onboarding systems/services into monitoring platforms
- Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
