Summary

Enterprise Architect

Introduction:

The main function of an Enterprise Architect is to establish system information requirements using analysis of information in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems, with a strong emphasis on business architecture to ensure IT strategies are tightly aligned with business objectives, capabilities, and transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Designs architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
Ensures systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures.
Evaluates problems and develops appropriate corrective action.
Develops and maintains business architecture frameworks, models, and roadmaps to support business transformation and strategic goals.
Provides daily supervision and direction to staff.

Skills:

Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languages.
Experience with providing technical leadership and mentoring on software engineering design and development.
Expertise in business architecture and alignment of IT with enterprise strategy.
Strong working experience with Enterprise Architecture (EA) tools, such as Ardoq.
Ability to apply fundamental concepts on technical assignments.

Education/Experience:

TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) certification required
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
2-4 years’ experience required
